My Republican Friends,

It is an honor for me to serve as the Chairman of the New Hanover County Republican Party.
Our goal as an Organization is to help promote Republican values and effect good government in New Hanover County as well as at the State and National level. 
We will do this by having an effective grass roots organization that thrives on Volunteers. Our Volunteers will have many opportunities to be involved with the local party through our  Executive committee membership, volunteering or being appointed to various committees and working with our Headquarters as we draw nearer to the elections in 2008.

My personal involvement in politics started at Campbell University in 1983 where I majored in Government and where I joined the College Republicans. I transferred to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where I earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Finance. I have also earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM. I joined the Young Republicans in 1987 and eventually became the Chairman. I was involved actively with the local Republican Party and was asked to run for First Vice-Chairman. I served in that capacity under two different Chairmen and was most recently elected to be the Chairman in January of 2006 in a special election. I was re-elected in February of 2007 for a two-year term.

I have been working with a great group from our Executive Committee to develop our “business plan” and involve as many people as possible in our planning efforts to make 2008 a success.

I look forward to the possibilities for our County, our State and for the National elections in 2008.
